NWB Video Award
Create a captivating video about your international water management project and win the NWB Award 2023. That was the call to which 9 excellent projects responded. The jury has selected 3 of them. Now it’s time to cast your vote!
Smart collaboration with stakeholders
The theme for 2023 is: ‘Smart collaboration with stakeholders.’ Stakeholders play a pivotal role in all international projects, whether as polluters or users, wasters or water savers. They can be businesses or residents, government bodies or NGOs. Every time, it's a challenge to engage stakeholders effectively in water management, taking into account the local land and culture. This applies to the Netherlands as well, so there's certainly much to learn from international projects for our work here.
The jury has chosen the top 3 projects out of all 9 entries, in no particular order:
- Faso Koom: Impact of fertilizer trees on farmers' soils in the Cassou commune of Burkina Faso
- Blue Deal Peru Project – Chira-Piura Water Council: A strategic alliance for water conservation in the Chira Valley
- World Waternet: "Smelling the Flowers" – Constructed Wetlands for Wastewater in Ethiopia
The jury selected these projects because they tell compelling stories that can be shared. The videos are also visually appealing, with captivating music and editing. Of course, the jury also assessed whether the theme of 'smart collaboration with stakeholders' is effectively conveyed.
Cast your vote!
Now it's your turn. Which of these 3 projects deserves the 5000 euros prize for the project, a spot on the Wall of Fame at the Dutch Water Authorities' office in The Hague, and a feature in the ‘Het Waterschap’ magazine?
Below, you can see all 9 entries. It is only possible to vote for one of the 3 nominees. Click on 'vote for this video!' next to your favorite. You have until November 24th to cast your vote.
The award ceremony, just like last year, will take place during the annual DWA Netwerkdag, which is on Monday, November 27th.
