The Theewaterskloof catchment area deals with the looming threat of pollution, primarily stemming from the uncontrolled and rapid expansion of informal settlements. The aim of the Theewaterskloof project is to reduce pollution by improving sanitation and solid waste management, with innovative solutions such as non-sewered sanitation and harnessing the circular economy.
