Due to climate change, population growth, and economic activities, there is a rising demand for freshwater in and around Morogoro. The Mindu Dam is the most important reservoir for year-round freshwater supply, serving both direct domestic use and the region’s commercial and industrial needs. By increasing the amount of water stored in the dam, the water supply can be increased.
