NWB Video Award 2024

On 18 October, the NWB Award was presented for the third time – the NWB Fund’s prize for the most compelling video on international water management efforts. Of the seven projects that submitted a video with the theme of ‘climate adaptation’. The winner is: Collaborative Effort for Sustainable Water Management in Morogoro, Tanzania!

During the closing event of the KIWI programme at the Rivierenland Water Authority in Tiel, it was up to those present to decide which project would take home the award. The video from Morogoro, Tanzania received 55 percent of the votes.

The Prize

The project in the winning video is a collaberation between Hollands Noorderkwartier, Rivierenland, Brabantse Delta, World Waternet, Moruwasa, Wami/Ruvu and Farmtree. It receives a cash prize of 5,000 euros, a place on the Wall of Fame at the office of the Dutch Water Authorities in The Hague, and a feature in Het Waterschap magazine.

The Jury's Shortlist

Before this, a panel of experts had created a shortlist of three entries. The jury mainly focused on whether the video told a compelling story that resonated with the viewer and was easy to share. Additionally, it needed to convey a meaningful and engaging message about climate adaptation. The shortlist in no particular order:
