In the Morogoro region of Tanzania, a coalition of organizations is working together to create a climate-resilient system for sustainable water management. This partnership includes the local water board (Wami/Ruvu), the drinking water company (Moruwasa), and Dutch water authorities (Hollands Noorderkwartier, Rivierenland, Brabantse Delta, and World Waternet), alongside the innovative start-up Farmtree.
A Holistic Approach to Water and Sanitation
The collaboration aims to ensure sustainable water management, improve WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) services, and boost resilience against climate change. This comprehensive strategy addresses not only the immediate water and sanitation needs of the community but also builds long-term resilience for both the people and the environment.
